Inspired Roots

Even though I am a fan of clean, straight lines with minimalistic designs, I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and have something more fun, colourful, and exciting. I call it a “skater vibe.” I feel that this was a good opportunity, as design has so many styles and feels, and having a design so different to regular design magazines will help it to stand out. Therefore, I wanted to use busy images and large and playful typography to balance out with the article style of writing, I wanted every page to be different from the one before, yet still work as a flow.
